Creating of codes
There is historically no standards on geek-like codes (and never will be), thus every author develops its own code syntax borrowing some things from another codes, inventing other things himself. Sometimes codes take the most strange forms. GeekCoder supports various features to the extent of treelike questions.
Decoding
The program decodes codes and displays results as HTML pages. If the code contains mistakes the program will try to interpret what is meant, otherwise it will ignore unintelligible part and decode the rest. This is especially important when decoding manually created codes.
Integration into the system
Double click on a code file will open it in the GeekCoder. Tooltips display information on the code file.
Extensibility
Codes are not built into the program, they are separate files with the extension “geek” instead, which are simple text INI-files. This means you will not need to download the whole program when a code is updated or a new one is created, just the code file.
If some code is not supported you can create such file yourself. However, creation of code files is not trivial, you are advised to ask the author for help.
